Gray Matters Counseling & Wellness, PLLC is hiring!
Gray Matters is growing again! We are seeking licensed or pre-licensed mental health therapists with experience and formal training to provide individual counseling services that support clients in creating meaningful, lasting change.
We provide a warm, welcoming environment, offering in-person and online services from our charming antique cape in Laconia, New Hampshire, with the majority of sessions occurring in-person.
Why Gray Matters?
At Gray Matters, you will work with highly motivated clients who are ready to engage meaningfully to achieve their mental health and wellness goals. We value and encourage innovative, evidence-based approaches, especially those that reach beyond traditional CBT/DBT, and embrace holistic, bottom-up therapies. Why? Because all arrows point to these modalities for true and lasting change.
The mental health market is saturated with online-only options. At Gray Matters, we continue to value the in-person experience for clients and clinicians alike. We also understand that not all clients are able to attend sessions in-person. Clinicians work from our office in Laconia regardless as to how clients are seen. Doing so creates a healthy separation between work and home. Share, collaborate, seek and provide support in a friendly, relaxed work environment.
Your Role:
In this position, you will:
- Support folks who struggle with anxiety, depression, trauma, challenging family dynamics, and more.
- Work primarily with adults in need of support.
- Utilize our Electronic Medical Record System (Simple Practice) with training provided for newcomers.
- Maintain your professional development requirements.
- Collaborate with other like-minded professionals.
- Provide 20+ sessions per week; Monday-Thursday during normal business hours.
We are looking for candidates who have:
- A minimum of 1 year post Master's degree experience working face-to-face with clients or a valid NH license as LCMHC, LMFT, or LICSW.
- Formal training and experience with evidence-based, body-centered therapeutic approaches (e.g., IFS, EMDR, Mindfulness) alongside traditional cognitive methods (CBT, DBT, ACT).
- Excellent communication skills. Communication is a significant aspect of what we do with clients and one another.
- Ability and interest working on-site. There are no remote opportunities available for this position. We are seeking individuals who value the richness of the in-person experience and face-to-face connection.
- Reliability, dedication, consistency, and a strong work ethic.
- The confidence and ability to work independently alongside designated weekly and as-needed support through supervision and collaboration.
Perks of Joining Our Team:
- Focus primarily on your clinical practice while the back-office handles the administrative tasks.
- Leave your work at work. We handle all corresondence with clients outside of your scheduled sessions.
- Zero back-to-back scheduling. We build time in-between each and every session for you to complete your note, clear your psychological palette, and take care of your own human needs before the start of your next session.
- Non-taxed reimbursement for individualized Psychology Today advertisement and annual liability insurance.
- Free individualized access to a clinical portal that offers hundreds of sharable/fillable resources including worksheets, assessments, guides, and workbooks.
- In-house supervision toward licensure at no charge to you ($7,800 annual value).
- Monday-Thursday work week, preserving one full day each week for you to attend to your own personal needs and self-care without disrupting client continuity.
- Work in beautifully decorated, fully furnished offices designed for comfort and healing.
- We are accepting long-term team members as well as those seeking hours for licensure so they can hang their own shingle when they are ready to do so.
- Additional benefits for those consistently providing 24+ clinical hours per week after one year of employment: one week paid vacation, six paid holidays, and up to $1000 professional development reimbursement.
At Gray Matters, we pride ourselves on fostering a professional, supportive, and drama-free environment that emphasizes self-care and a healthy work-life balance.
Employment Type: W-2 fee for service.
