Gray Matters Counseling & Wellness, PLLC is hiring!
Gray Matters is growing again! We are seeking licensed or pre-licensed mental health therapists with interest, experience, and formal training working with families and couples to help them create true and lasting change.
We provide a warm, welcoming environment, offering in-person and online services from our charming antique cape in Laconia, New Hampshire. (Truth be told, we have minimal requests for ongoing, online therapy. Folks are demanding to be seen in-person, which we love!).
Why Gray Matters?
At Gray Matters, you will work with highly motivated clients who are ready to engage meaningfully to achieve their mental health and wellness goals. We value and encourage innovative, evidence-based approaches, especially those that reach beyond traditional CBT/DBT, and embrace holistic, bottom-up therapies. Why? Because all arrows point to these modalities for true and lasting change.
The mental health market is saturated with online-only options. At Gray Matters, we continue to value the in-person experience for clients and clinicians alike. We also understand that not all clients are able to attend sessions in-person. Clinicians work from our office in Laconia regardless as to how clients are seen.
Working in-office creates a healthy separation between work and home. Engage in spontaneous interactions with other like-minded professionals. Share, collaborate, seek and provide support in a friendly, relaxed work environment. (Plus, a delicious lunch is waiting for you right across the street at Natural Pickle. Bonus!).
Your Role:
In this position, you will:
- Support folks who struggle with anxiety, depression, trauma, challenging family dynamics, and more.
- Work primarily with couples, families, and parents in need of support providing brief counseling. You're going to love our signature approach when working with these populations! (Hint: This is not your average private practice.).
- Utilize our Electronic Medical Record System (Simple Practice) with training provided for newcomers.
- Maintain your professional development requirements.
- Collaborate with other like-minded professionals.
- Provide 20+ sessions per week; weekday scheduling during normal business hours.
What We’re Looking For:
- A minimum of 1 year post Master's degree experience working face-to-face with clients or a valid NH license as LCMHC, LMFT, or LICSW.
- Formal training and experience with evidence-based, body-centered therapeutic approaches (e.g., IFS, EMDR, Mindfulness) alongside traditional cognitive methods (CBT, DBT, ACT).
- Training, experience, and interest working with adults, couples, and/or families.
- Excellent communicators! Communication is a significant aspect of what we do with clients and one another.
- On-site only; no remote opportunities. (Please do not ask! This is one area where we are VERY black and white. Haha...Did you see what I did there?). Folks are fed up with staring at a computer screen all day and want to experience the richness of in-person encounters.
- Reliability, dedication, consistency, and a strong work ethic.
- The confidence and ability to work independently alongside designated weekly and as-needed support through supervision and collaboration.
- Individuals who are sensitive though not fragile. When working with vulnerable others, the ability to take feedback from clients and/or your supervisor and peers is a necessary and crucial component that allows for self-reflection and professional development. Growth cannot occur without discomfort.
Perks of Joining Our Team:
- Focus primarily on your clinical practice while the back-office handles the administrative tasks.
- Leave your work at work. We handle all corresondence with clients outside of your scheduled sessions.
- Zero back-to-back scheduling. We build time in-between each and every session for you to complete your note, clear your psychological palette, and take care of your own human needs before the start of your next session.
- Non-taxed reimbursement for individualized Psychology Today advertisement and annual liability insurance.
- In-house supervision toward licensure at no charge to you ($7,800 annual value).
- Work in beautifully decorated, fully furnished offices designed for comfort.
- We are accepting long-term team members as well as those seeking hours for licensure so they can hang their own shingle when they are ready to do so.
- Additional benefits for those consistently providing 24+ clinical hours a week.
At Gray Matters, we pride ourselves on fostering a professional, supportive, and drama-free environment that emphasizes self-care and a healthy work-life balance.
Employment Type: W-2 fee for service.
If you're ready to make a meaningful impact in an upscale mental health setting, we’d love to hear from you!
